“Turns out that loving yourself is the greatest way to improve yourself, and as you improve yourself, you improve your world.” ~ Joe Vitale
Melissa’s Words of Wisdom
I find it interesting how difficult it can be to love ourselves at times. So many people really struggle to allow themselves to be loved by themselves. People fear coming across selfish or conceited, or even worse, some people don’t feel worthy of self-love. I invite you to try out this self-love exercise: Close your eyes, place your hand on your heart, take a few deep breaths and feel your awareness dip down into your heart space for a moment…find that warm place in your heart where you hold love (you may need to think of a loved one or something you love)…let that feeling swell up…now imagine that warmth and love flowing into every inch of your body…your fingers, your hair, your smile, your toes, your elbows. Really feel your love flow EVERYWHERE! As you feel it go into the different parts of your body say, “I love that I love my fingers, I love that I love my toes, I love that I love my smile…” and so on and so on. The key to this exercise is that you actually FEEL the love traveling through your body! The more you do this, the more you’ll find an unconditional love for every inch of your mind, body, and spirit! Happy Loving Yourself!
