12.4.5 Love your excellence

“The sad truth is that EXCELLENCE makes people nervous.” ~ Shana Alexander

Melissa’s Words of Wisdom

Your excellence and magnificence is an amazing and wonderful thing, so why does it make so many people nervous? I say shout it from the mountain tops!! I believe there are two main reasons why excellence makes some people nervous. One – some people have been taught to believe they are less than so when they start doing excellent things, it’s not in harmony with their current belief system. It gives them an uncomfortable feelings so they reject it and don’t believe they could maintain it, let alone that they really deserve it. Two – many people are afraid of finding out what they are really capable of because then it might shine a light on their true power and they’ll see how much they are actually settling and not living up to their full potential. They would rather hide from their excellence than work on developing it… the good ole avoidance tactic! If one of these reasons applies to you, seek to embrace your excellence, not ignore or avoid it. You are robbing yourself from an excellent and amazing life by doing so.  Go out there and LOVE YOUR EXCELLENCE!!! Happy Loving Your Excellence!!
